It begins its activities in Spain within the iron and steel sector in 1974. Since then it has maintained an ascending line in the development of business which culminates with an invoicing of 65 millions euros in 2003. Of the mentioned number, a 75% corresponds to the product distribution in the national market, and a 25% comes from the production and export to other markets.

1st STAGE
RECTIFICADORA DEL VALLÉS, S.A., Rectificadora was founded on 1974 in a local of 400 m² in Cerdanyola del Vallès, at the moment has more than 80 people working and is present in more than 10 countries. In its beginnings had 2 acquired rectifying machines from the OLIVETTI and RECTIFICADOS NUTOR companies. |

2nd STAGE
On 1983 the plant of manufacture is transferred to the Industrial estate of Santiga with a 1000 m² of surface, where a part from rectified bars, turned bars are also provided.
3rd STAGE
On 1987, Rectificadora del Vallés, S.A settles down in Polinyà, C/Pintor Velázquez, nş 1, Southeastern Industrial estate; with a built surface of 3,500 m² establishes 3 machines to calibrate by drawing and a store of stocks of calibrated material. In addition, Rectificadora maintains the workshop of Santiga. A production of 3,800 Tn/ per year is obtained.
4th STAGE
On 1993, Rectificadora del Vallés S.A., carries out two extensions:
1.It acquires the DAC workshops (Distribuidora Aceros Calibrados, S.A.).
2.It installs a store called RDV in the Alta Saboya and at the same time opens market in FRANCE.
5th STAGE
In the year 1998 the new roll-bar drawing plant of (5,000 m²) is built. In this factory 4 drawing machines in cold are located and they cover the range with Ĝ5 to Ĝ45mm in materials drawn in cold. Also the adjacent factory is bought and is inaugurated in September of 1999 as the group's main seat after an important rehabilitation work. All the workers of the previous location were transferred to the new central offices and a sender store was constructed on 4000 m² of surface.
6th STAGE
In the year 2001 acquires the plants of the company HARRY WALKER, S.A..In the 12,000 m² built and 10,000 m² of patio is located the new store-factory. The total volume of the investment goes up to around the 6 million Euros. The new store of 6,000 m²has a capacity of 10,000 Tn. It is equipped with modern systems of storage and distribution.
The manufacture factory counts on a new line of turning composed of TORNO LANGRAF mod. 90 KC. Straightened-Polisher, mod. Vascas . Line of detection of external defects composed of a Circograf and a Defectomat of the trademark FORSTER, Langraf Bevelling and metal banding machine, weighter mod. Guarienti. It covers the range with measures understood between Ĝ15mm-Ĝ90mm in turned bars.
7th STAGE
In the year 2008 the Ovejero family sells the Company to the GERDAU GROUP, remaining under the control of SIDENOR.
8th STAGE
In the year 2009 change in trademark to GERDAU SIDENOR CALIBRADOS
